MICArdiac (My Intelligent Cardiac Assistant) is designed by the Westmead Applied Research Centre (WARC), an Impact Centre at the University of Sydney, Australia to help users prevent heart disease. Full functionalities will be available to people willing to be part of a research study to enable us to improve it. If you want to be one of the first users and wish to be part of this research study, please contact: [email protected]
EVIDENCE-BASED AND PERSONALISED SUPPORT
The MICArdiac app aims to improve your heart health by delivering personalised, evidence-based support which is tailored to you. You will receive messages that have been co-designed by doctors, researchers and end users based on national clinical guidelines and previous research conducted by WARC. These messages are personalised based on information you have provided to us and on data you may continue to provide to us on physical activity data from your wearable (including step count, time spent exercising), and blood pressure. The messages will provide health education tips and encouragement, digital educational resources and suggest target goals and recommendations to improve your heart disease risk. There is also the option to interact with reply messages or images with a health counsellor.
EASY TO USE
With one app you will have the ability to visualise your activity and blood pressure data, receive MICArdiac support messages, and interact with a health counsellor. You can opt to receive messages by in-app notifications or text messages (SMS).
INTEGRATES WITH APPLE HEALTH
MICArdiac and Apple Health/Google Fit works seamlessly together where you can retrieve all your health data in one place for easier health monitoring.
